RŪTA is well-known as a company, which enshrines traditions but also successfully applies up-to-date methods using modern recipes, up to date technologies, innovative range of product, collaboration with scientists, and participation in various EU projects. The company is very proud of its long history, and the reputation the factory has achieved.
At present RŪTA is a middle-sized company with 240 employees, seven sweet production departments, technological and microbiological laboratories, in which the quality of raw materials, semi-manufactures and ready production is monitored. There are eleven RŪTA branded shops throughout Lithuanian.
RŪTA constantly produces a unique range of recipes and original product ideas to the market. The confectionary factory is well known as a concerned producer, who cares about the health of consumers, uses as much local natural raw materials such as berries and fruits and also produces environmentally-friendly and sugar-free confectionery. Using local scientists the factory is consistently looking at new ideas, ranges and creating new recipe. The production of environmentally-friendly products is high on RŪTA's agenda. RŪTA was the first company in Lithuania to achieve certification by the Lithuanian Public Enterprise "EkoAgros" and to start production of environmentally-friendly confectionery. The company's image is one of a manufacturer who aims to evoke local pride. Ruta also promotes the attractive image of Lithuania by producing its own line of souvenir products. Several products of RŪTA such as acorn coffee, plum cheese, etc. have been awarded the status of cuisine heritage.
RŪTA produces a wide range of high quality products. The chocolate collection includes a variety of product with fillings including: nuts, caramels, truffles, dragée, creams, fruits, jellies, sugar-free products, environmentally-friendly products, chocolate figurines, marzipan and other delicacies. The range is both handmade and machine produced.
RŪTA Chocolates are known worldwide with a presence in not only Lithuania, but also in Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, Great Britain, Russia and other countries.
