    Description

Milsa Group brings together more than 60 years of experience in the production of granite and dolomite aggregates. The company’s history dates back to 1959, when the Road Construction Materials Association “Granitas” was established. Since then, the companies within the Milsa Group have produced over 50 million tons of granite and dolomite aggregates.

Today, the Milsa Group is one of the largest producers of granite and dolomite aggregates in Lithuania, with an annual capacity of 1 million tons of granite and 2 million tons of dolomite. At peak production, the Group sells around 20,000 tons of aggregates per day. Its operations cover Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, serving clients in road, bridge, and railway construction, as well as concrete and reinforced concrete product manufacturers and construction companies.

    Milsa Group companies:

Klovainių skalda AB – the company’s core activity is the extraction of certified dolomite aggregates of various fractions from the Klovainiai deposit, as well as the production of dolomite and granite aggregates, natural dolomite rock, and dolomite powder.

Gruno – a new brand established in 2024, bringing together two granite aggregate plants with long-standing experience: Granitinė skalda UAB in Vilnius and Granitas UAB in Kaunas.

Eksplosita UAB – founded in 2016 to strengthen the Milsa Group’s vertical integration through dolomite raw material drilling and blasting operations.

Together with its parent company Milsa UAB, Eksplosita UAB has been actively expanding across the Baltic region:

In 2024, the Group acquired the Estonian company Voglers Eesti OÜ.

In 2025, it acquired the Latvian company SIA Spradziens.

These three companies - Eksplosita UAB, Voglers Eesti OÜ, and SIA Spradziens – now form one of the largest rock drilling and blasting groups in the Baltic States.

Starting in 2025, Eksplosita UAB has also begun developing explosives and ammunition production for the defense industry, significantly expanding the Group’s technological expertise and capabilities.

    DOLOMITE AGGREGATES

Milsa UAB supplies dolomite aggregates of various fractions produced at the Klovainių skalda AB dolomite quarry. The aggregates comply with the standards LST EN 13043, LST EN 13242, LST EN 12620, and LST EN 13285, and are CE-marked. Production processes and quality control meet the requirements of LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standards for testing of mineral materials.

    GRANITE AGGREGATES

Granite aggregates are produced in Lithuania at Milsa Group factory: in Vilnius and Kaunas under the Gruno brand, and in Klovainiai at Klovainių skalda AB.
The aggregates meet the highest European quality standards. The raw material for granite aggregate production is sourced from Scandinavian quarries.
All products comply with the standards LST EN 13043, LST EN 13450, and LST EN 12620.

Each year, the Milsa Group invests more than EUR 3 million in technological innovation and improving production efficiency.

Over the period of Lithuania’s independence, the Milsa Group has contributed to some of the largest national infrastructure projects, including: Via Baltica, Rail Baltica, the Vilnius Airport runway reconstruction, the construction of the Western and Southern bypasses of Vilnius, the reconstruction of the Lithuanian Air Force base in Šiauliai, the Nemunas river groynes project implemented by the Inland Waterways Authority, as well as the long-term gravel road program, slope stabilization works on major roads, and other strategic infrastructure projects in Lithuania and neighboring countries.

The Milsa Group actively participates in professional organizations — it is a member of the Lithuanian Roads Association, the Railway Service Companies Association Gelpa, the Lithuanian Quarries Association, and the Construction Industry Association. Milsa Group is also involved in the activities of the Technical Committees of the Lithuanian Standards Board.

The operations of the Milsa Group companies are carried out in compliance with the highest standards of quality, environmental protection, and occupational safety. The companies’ management systems are certified and comply with the requirements of LST EN ISO 9001, LST EN ISO 14001, and LST EN ISO 45001 standards.
