Sengirės fondas / The Ancient Woods Foundation is an environmental NGO working on forest and biodoversity conservation.

The Ancient Woods Foundation aims to preserve the most valuable old -growth forests and protect their biodiversity, to establish public forests in Lithuania.

Our vision: Lithuania — where nature belongs to itself, and is allowed to develop without any human influence, where all organisms are equal and no one is thought of as harmful.

Main activities - the search for, purchase and protection of Lithuania's most valuable old-growth forests from any human activity, the protection of the biodiversity in these forests, also - public education.

Everyone can contribute to the Foundation's mission - by donating a forest, supporting financially, contributing professional knowledge or services, sharing information with others about the value of old-growth forests and biodiversity, the importance of conservation, and the Foundation itself.
